Web VNC Temporary Issue Notice

Outside of any posted network issues, your service is still accessible.

A recent change caused the noVNC viewer to be incompatible with our Cloudflare settings; we use Cloudflare to serve our website more quickly & protect our website from attacks to ensure the control panel is available for use. We are working with Cloudflare to resolve this issue.

In the meantime, please note that the web VNC service has nothing to do with the availability of your server. You can still access your server via SSH or RDP, and you can still access it via VNC, just not the web browser VNC we offer. We’ve published the details required to connect via VNC on the web VNC client which can be opened by clicking the "VNC / Desktop" button on this service control panel page. You will need to use an external VNC app, such as TurboVNC, RealVNC, or TightVNC (and even any VNC application on your phone or tablet.)

You would just enter the IP (not your service IP, the VNC IP provided on the VNC page) as the "Server" or "Host" or "IP" and the port provided after the IP and a colon, or in the "port" field depending on your app (so for example, if the VNC IP presented is 23.23.23.23 and the Port is 2323 then on TurboVNC it would be 23.23.23.23:2323) and finally, you can "show" the password provided and copy/use that for the password field and click "connect." A downloaded VNC app will actually perform better in almost all cases, but if you do require to use VNC via a web browser, please let us know about your limitations and we’ll see what we can do.

If this is a new Windows service, you will need to first setup your server via VNC before being able to access via RDP.

UPDATE — November 19th, 2020 – 6:25PM PST – Cloudflare has escalated this to their engineering team and we are awaiting a response.
